Finally hot Summer days are here and it’s getting hotter day by day. Thus to beat the summer heat I am drinking several glass of water. And also I have incorporated juices and smoothies to my diet to keep myself hydrated.Over this weekend I have been trying to create something new using raw mango and after searching tons of recipe finally I came up with a refreshing yet flavorful drink which is slightly sweet and little tangy in flavor. The raw mango gives slightly tangy flavor to it and the the roasted cumin adds an amazing twist to it.The freshness of mint and coriander takes the drink to the next level.I can’t explain the taste in words but I am sure you will love to try it.I have tried both the version one is the below and another one is the alcoholic one(with a hint of vodka) and both the version tastes amazing. So lets start the simple and refreshing drink with step by step pictures…….
1/2 cup freshly chopped raw mangoes
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/3 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1/3 tsp red chilli powder(optional)
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/2 tsp black salt
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
2 cups -Water
Some ice -cubes
Dried boondi(for Garnishing)
Few fresh mint leaves(for Garnishing)
Wash and peel the raw mangoes and cut into small pieces.
Combine all the ingredients along with water and blend until smooth.
Take a glass or mason jar and pour the mixture in it.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and add some ice cubes.
Finally add some dry boondi on the top of it and serve chilled.
You can use cold water and skip ice cubes.
This drink can be stored for a week in refrigerator.
This drink can be used as Panipuri water.
If you want to go for the alcoholic version then you can add little vodka in it.
